They could visit any doctor, any hospital, and receive the same care as civilians. Would this improve their healthcare system? What are your thoughts?

Draw a context model for a patient information system in a hospital. You may make any reasonable assumptions about the other hospital systems that are available, but your model must include a patient admissions system and an image storage system for x-ray, as well as other diagnostic record

i'm a nurse and i have a patient was involved in the bad end of a hit and run. it's very tragic. he is illegal and in fact had a fake ID, it took a month long police investigation to determine who he is. it was discovered he's here illegally from mexico and has a completely different name. this patient is pretty much being kept alive by machines, no family to make a decision as to what to do in regards to his care. he cannot be transported back to mexico, it would be impossible due to cost (to us, meaning you the taxpayer), and the nature of the injuries he sustained. long term care facilities such as a nursing home refuse illegals, understandably. the end result is that he stays stuck in the hospital indefinitely, being kept alive with tube feedings, ventilator, expensive meds and we all pay the bill. please do not think i'm not compassionate, i care for him a great deal as a patient and it's very sad. but what do we do about this...? it happens a lot.
excellent points RAWR and UNITED WE STAND, however it is illegal to stop feedings, ventialtor, meds, etc. even if they are illegal (don't you love the irony?) only a family member can make the decision to cease care in that type of situation. hospitals are required by law to provide care to any and all. hence, the conundrum..
i am not "skimming" any HIPAA regulations whatsoever, i take my job seriously...
violating patient confidentiality requires release of confidential patient information which did not happen here..this i know well! thanks for answering the question though
ok FOX, i see your point and i meet you halfway. the reason i talked about it though is because this a debilitating, serious problem in this country and we need to be talking about it. not at the expense of another person, but i don't feel that happened. thanks for the debate
